Would Netflix end cinema?
HERE IS THE REAL ANSWER

or 17 years now, Netflix has created
streaming.
In everyone’s mouth,
streaming will replace cinema,
nevertheless for some reasons, I’ve got
doubt.
THAT’S WHY I ORGANIZED A
QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE
SURVEY: NOT USING JUST NUMBERS BUT
PRECISE OPINIONS OF A PANEL OF
PEOPLE.
FIRST, 95% OF THE INTERVIEWED
PEOPLE APPRECIATE CINEMA WHEREAS
ONLY 65% OF THESE LAST ARE KEEN ON
STREAMING.
IF THE GROUP IS DIVIDED
INTO AGE CATEGORIES, WE CAN
CONSIDER THAT PEOPLE OVER 60 AND
YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER 16 ARE THE
LEAST FOND OF CINEMA.
MOREOVER
100% OF THE PEOPLE WHO LIKE BOTH
CINEMA AND STREAMING, SAY THAT
THEY PREFER THE MOVIE-THEATER
EXPERIENCE.
HOWEVER, THESE SAME
PEOPLE CONFIDE THAT THEY CONSUME
MORE STREAMING THAN CINEMA.
STRANGE, ISN'T IT?
NOW THAT WE'VE SEEN THE
STATISTICS, LET'S TRY TO UNDERSTAND
THE PROCESSES INVOLVED.
People tend to prefer cinema for many
reasons: Paul has a “more optimal
experience”, it is sure that you’re much
more focused in a cinema room far
from all your own home’s distractions
such as your roommates or your phone.
As far as Philippe is concerned, the
cinema room improves his experience
thanks to the big screen which allows
him to see “more details”.
In addition,
most of the people, it is to say 50% of
our research, think that cinema’s film
is the best quality, with better actors or
even more surprising.
But if cinema is better than
streaming on all these points, why
people are switching from cinema to
streaming?
All these interviews made me
realize something: cinema and
streaming do not have the
same role; they....
