« U2 is an Irish rock group formed in 1976 in Dublin.

The idea came from Bono, the leader of the group, he wanted to create a group with his High School friends.

Aged 16 years old, the four boys decided to call their group « The Feedback » before calling U2. The band consists of Bono (vocals), The Edge (guitar, vocals and keyboards), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), Larry Mullen Junior (drums and percussions).

Their manager is Paul McGuinness. Since the 1980s, U2 has emerged as a major group all around the world.

Since the middle of 1980s, the group defends the Human Rights and Bono , the singer, was in lists for the Nobel prize of peace in 2003 and in 2005. Their singles are not done at random, "Sunday Bloody Sunday" commemorated the massacre of innocent civilians during the Irish troubles. Another song, "Bad" , was about heroin addiction, which was a serious problem in their home town of Dublin at that time. "Pride" and "MLK" were both tributes to the modern-day leader they most admire , Martin Luther King . In June 2009, U2 have sold over 170 million albums.

He also won 22 Grammy Awards.

By that year, U2 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He is classified number 22 in the list of the 100 bigger artists of all time of the magazine Rolling Stone. They’ve made from 1976 to 2009 lots of concerts.

The 360° is the biggest tour of the world ,it is bigger than the Bigger bang world tour made by the Rolling Stones. In this moment ,U2 visit the Panama .
