Offspring The female rattlesnake gives birth to 8 to 15 young after a gestation period of four to seven months.

Did You Know The most dangerous rattlesnake is the Cascaval of South America--75 percent of its human victims die of asphyxiation.
The rattlesnake's rattle can be heard up to 20 m (60 ft) away.
