« Amine EL Fadl BFA2 MAN ON WIRE Man on wire is a tribute to Philippe petit, an extraordinary French man who dared to walk between the WTC back in 1974, long before these late ones became more famous for completely different reasons .

The 2008 Documentary chronicles years of PhilippeÕs Adventure , from a little kids fantasy , to an old kid achievement, the Þlm document the years it took Philippe and his team of harmless mercenaries & accomplices to plan and execute his spectacle . Using testimonies of Philippe and his team, Ò Man on wire Ò manages to a certain extent to come as cocky and funny at times , and dramatic and less funny at other times, deploying a light humor mixed to a narration and several original reincarnations of an extraordinary adventure full with problems and challenges , the style in it self is representative of an artistic mission combined to a certain street crime.

Man on wire does neglect the tension that had raised between PhilippeÕs Team and choose instead to emphasize more amusement using laughter and light humor, even when Philippe admit having cheated on the wife that has been cornered and overwhelmed by his ambition for years, the Þlm choose instead to show the incident as funny and dorky more than serious or devastating . Being a self explained act according to Philippe him self, the Documentary also concentrate more on the narration of the journey rather than explaining the why of the what , and shows an image of the WTC that has very little to do with the horror that its being remembered for now.. »
