Detective Story
I have been invited to the dinner party of my cousin Matt on the Halloween night in
1999 .
The feast take place o n the Norham castle , ( on th e Northumberland county ) .
Everyone was disguised and I didn't recognise no one.
Just I knew that my sister and
my uncle Oliver, the father of Matt, was here because I come with them.
I knew to o
that we will be seventeen at the party.
During the start of the evening , I remarked that
we were only sixteen.
Just after, a detective come and announced that Lucy, the
girlfriend of Matt won't be coming because she has been murdered.
Everyone seemed
surprised in spite of the make up.
Then, the name of the people are revealed.
I
retained the name of those who c ould be included in the crime.
First, I suspected
Kate, the ex-girlfriend of Matt, she was very sad when she learned that him had an
other girlfriend but know she's the best friend of Matt.
She could kill Lucy out of
jealousy.
Next, Jackson, when we questioned him, he trembled and he didn't arrive to
speak well, he said that he didn't know Lucy, that's all.
Then, I suspect ed my uncle,
Oliver, he isn't a normal man, he is every time included in bad things.
He said: “Poor
girl , s he died so young, Matt, my son, I'm so sorry, she was the perfect women for
you!” When he spoke about Lucy, he was calm and untroubled but when it was his
son, he was ravaged, desolate and sad .
H e didn't killed her because I was with him
two days and I never left him alone.
B ut he could be included in the crime.
I was
involved and I had decided to take the case with the detective.
T he detective had decided to go on the crime scene to find out about the latest news.
At destination, we found my aunt.
I wasn't surprising, this confirmed my impression
about Oliver.
I observed her discreetly, she was alone, she looked blankly the victim,
she didn't feel any emotion.
Maybe, Oliver asked her to kill Lucy.
Maybe, Oliver
threatened her to kill Lucy! I went to speak with her.
When I got closer to her, I
noticed that she whispered.
She said: “Oliver, please, tell me that it isn't you! Tell me
you don't killed her! Maybe you don't understand very well with Lucy but she was so
young and so kind! And Matt! Poor Matt...” I understood that she didn't killed Lucy.
Oliver isn 't so sociable, he l ives with his family and he hasn't got many friend.
If he.
