Introduction
The Columbine High School massacre occurred on Tuesday, April 20, 1999
inside the school, located near the town of Littleton, State of Colorado, in the
United States.
Two students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, killed 12 American high school
students and one teacher.
They were armed with rifles, automatic guns and home-made bombs.
They belonged to the "Trench Coat gang" and aimed, in particular, black and
Hispanic minorities and members of sports teams too.
In a first part we’ll talk about the facts, then in a second one about the causes and
finally about the impacts of this shooting.
1) Facts
The facts deaths, violence of the massacre …
The two students, Eric and Dylan, committed a massacre, killing twelve
students, one teacher and hurting 24 other students more or less seriously,
including three who tried to flee.
A carefully planned
The project was well thought out and meticulously prepared.
Eric and
Dylan had to explode two bombs in the cafeteria and bring down the library, the
survivors should have been killed in the school parking.
The explosion of bombs
in a car into the parking would have done 2 000 (two hundred) deaths.
But this
bomb didn’t explode.
So, the two teenagers who were waiting for the explosion in
the car had to decide to return to the cafeteria.
After launching bomb, they
opened fire on students.
And this, it is the beginning of a massacre that ended less
than an hour in the library.
After, they committed suicide with a bullet in the
head..
