Problématique :
- The superiority’s relation between black and white people are belong to the past ? Who does
the author and artist reach/ approach this question
- How movies and musics allow to express yourself
- To what extent the film and music they create a political expression and protest space?
Introduction :
The power is at the same time spring of the political, social and personal integration and the
revelation of the tensions and the conflicts within the group.
The power practices(is applied)
through a set of undergone or accepted, often interiorized complex relations.
The power also
implies(involves) forces of opposition.
Firstly we can talk about 1984 a novel written by Georges orwell.
This dystopia report on
dictatorship in which freedom of speech was prohibited by the thought police.
In this novel
O’Brien is a member of the thought police.
He CROSS- EXAMINES.
He look like a fanatic.
Big Brother is a fictional character in George Orwell 's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four .
He is the
enigmatic dictator of Oceania , a totalitarian state taken to its utmost logical consequence
Winston smith is a victim who is DEHUMANIZED by the scene.He stands up / rebells
against the regime embodied by big brother is EMBODIED big brother( tyrant who watches
civilians with surveillance system.He is Brainwashed.
He trangressed the law because he is in
love.
In dictatorship people are denied the right to :
· Have liberty
· Express themselves
· Voice their grievance
· Live normally properly
The author fight for democratic principles( tenets)and civil rights.
In the society that Orwell describes, everyone is under complete surveillance by the
authorities, through telescreens .
The people are constantly reminded of this by the phrase "Big
Brother is watching you", which is the core "truth" of the propaganda system in this state.
We can also talk about the situation in Ireland.
There is a conflict between catholics and
protestant.
The conflict goes back to the first colonisation in the XII century.
He provoked a
riot between the army and irish population.
In january 1972 there’s the « bloody Sunday » a
massacre.
There was a pacifist march organised by catholics which degenared because of
british soldiers.
This conflict show the power of protestants in Ireland.
Afterwards, government reminds me the song of Gil Scott Heron the revolution will not be
televised.
§1 :an explicit criticism of the whites who are drug addicts, they can’t face reality which is a
warning against a social uprising
§2 : The narrator insist on unability/ uncapacity to see reality.
Negation=to stress, the coming danger
Nixon= a former republican president who spied on journalists
§3 : An explicit critism of physical appearance.
§5 : Evolution towards civil right activists campaigners.
He ‘s an educated/a highbrow artist.
